Summer Shield

On Wednesday 5 July, 36 members played a 2BBB stableford competition for the Summer Shield. The course was in super condition and apart from being a little breezy the weather was good.
We had three new members who were warmly greeted. Martin Sanders, Geoff Saunders and Richard Marshall.
The Bowood staff very very good and we dined well.

Congratulations to the winners, Alvin Edney & Keith Abbott (pictured) from St Mellion with a fabulous 44pts
Runners-up were Julian Williams & out very own Secretary Alan Price from West Cornwall with 43pts.
Third place on 41pts went to Brian Pound & Allan Evans from St Mellion.

Three 2s were achieved: Peter Mehigan (2nd), Alan Price(him again on the 6th and the 11th).
Nearest the Pin was Don Smith.
