The first meeting of the 2023 season was a held at Bude & North Cornwall Golf Club for the Spring Shield.
It was a cold and showery start although things improved later. T he fresh easterly wind played a major part in some of the more wayward shots.
It was good to see a number of new members (some among the prizes 2nd & 3rd and in the 2s) as well as 2 former members returning to the Association.
Despite the wind there were some good scores returned with 4 groups on 41pts.
The winning score was 44pts (Andrew Hurrell & Mike Vine)
NTP was John Raphael although he decided the wine was a sufficient reward and so missed his 2.
There were 6 qualifying 2s: John, Frewer, Doug Thom, Richard Webb, Joe Francis, Jim Johnston and Alan Price.
The raffle was won by Jon Goodredge.
Their next meeting is on Wednesday 24 May at The P{joint and will be a 4 ball Texas Scramble . Enter as part of a team or as an individual and you will be teamed up with 3 others.
